Students

We understand that sharing your experience can be difficult, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. All  reports are initially treated as disclosures and received by our Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Service, which sits within Student Services.

You will be connected with an appropriate member of staff who will offer initial guidance and support if you’ve experienced any form of gender-based violence, harassment, or misconduct.  If you’re reporting an experience of sexual misconduct, you’ll be offered the opportunity to meet with one of our Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs). They provide confidential emotional and practical support, including helping you understand your reporting options so you can make informed decisions.

Depending on the nature of your report, you may also receive guidance and support from Safeguarding, Student Services, and other relevant colleagues across the School.

If you would prefer for your report to be formally addressed under one of our internal regulations, we will seek your consent to refer it to our Student Conduct, Complaints and Appeals team, who manage the formal processes.

We aim to respond to your report within five working days.

Staff

If you are a staff member seeking support, your report will be reviewed by a member of the HR team. Within five working days, a dedicated HR representative will contact you to discuss your situation and the options available. This conversation will focus on what kind of support you'd like to receive moving forward.

It is important to understand that reporting with contact details does not mean that you're making a formal complaint to the School. The purpose is to connect you with the resources, support and information you need to make informed choices.

The information contained in a report will be passed on to relevant staff members on a strictly need to know basis (please see the privacy notice for more information).

Members of the public

Members of the public can submit reports regarding the behaviour of School students or staff. The appropriate School team will acknowledge and consider your report.
